Both Sides Now call out for female producers, musicians & performers

News: 14th June 2018 by Louise Dodgson under Live, Recording & Production

As part of their Both Sides Now initiative, Brighter Sound are looking for female musicians, producers, visual artists and performance artists to take part in the latest residency, a cross-arts collaboration led by composer, producer and conceptual artist Fatima Al Qadiri, and developed in collaboration with curator and researcher Amal Khalaf.

Based at the People’s History Museum in Manchester over 4 days from 9th-12th July), the chosen artists will collaborate to create new work inspired by the current exhibition Represent! Voices 100 Years On which reflects on those who campaigned for better representation (most famously the suffragettes) and asks ‘How far have we really come in 100 years?’

The residency will culminate in a live showcase performance as part of ‘Radical Lates’ at the museum on Thursday 12th July.
