Songtrust gives songwriters helping hand
News: 12th May 2011 by Louise Dodgson under Media, Music Publishing, Selling & Distributing Your Music

Songwriters and composers in the US have been introduced to the services of Songtrust which seems like the ideal solution for writers that don't have a publishing deal to manage their works overseas. Shortly to be released in the UK, Songtrust basically allows songwriters to track how their music is used on a global scale and then even collects royalties from all those far flung places too. In the US, Songtrust has also struck deals with TV stations to allow members to have their music placed in TV shows. Launch in the UK is set for June, although the first stage is only to facilitate UK artists to collect royalties in the US, but hopefully all the added features of the American Songtrust service are set to follow...
