Music Producers Guild announce new venue & date for 2011 Awards

News: 1st December 2010 by Louise Dodgson under Finance, Law & Music Business, Recording & Production

The Music Producers Guild has announced a new date and a new central London venue for its 2011 Awards event.

The Awards will now take place on Wednesday, February 9th 2011, at Floridita in London’s Wardour Street. Emulating the glamour, decadence and 1930’s style of the legendary El Floridita, this venue provides the perfect backdrop for an exceptional Awards ceremony that has already established itself as an event not to be missed.

Steve Levine, chairman of the Music Producers Guild, says: “After two highly successful years at the Cafe de Paris, we felt the time had come to move our Awards to a larger venue that could accommodate more guests. Feedback from previous years indicated that many of the people attending would prefer to be seated at tables. By moving to Floridita we are now in a position to respond to these requests. Floridita is an exceptional venue and we are anticipating a fantastic event.”

Now in their third year, the Music Producers Guild Awards are designed to honour the music professionals who work tirelessly to make great records. Last year’s Awards attracted more than 300 stars and music industry VIPs who turned out in force to celebrate the enormous contribution that recording professionals make to the success of the UK’s music industry.
Once again, the Music Producers Guild is collaborating with the BRITS to present the winner of its Producer of the Year category with a BRIT Award for Best Producer.
