ISM push for Live Music Bill
News: 29th June 2010 by Louise Dodgson under Finance, Law & Music Business, Live

Whilst the new government is bringing about cuts in the Arts, The Incorporated Society of Musicians, an organisation working to promote the interests of professional musicians, has decided that the time may be perfect to push the government for the implementation of the Live Music Bill yet again. Their requests were shunned earlier this year, despite the bill being passed through the House of Lords with no amendments.
The Live Music Bill would benefit musicians by loosening regulations regarding entertainment licenses for small venues, or those venues with up to 2 people performing with amplification, and so on. Fingers crossed the Live Music Bill is given a second chance.
