Closing soon! Apply for Manchester Jazz Festival's Hothouse and Soundcheck artist development opportunities

News: 26th July 2022 by Louise Dodgson under Music Training & Careers, Recording & Production

Manchester Jazz Festival has unveiled its artist development programmes, mjf soundcheck and mjf hothouse.

mjf soundcheck is aimed at young musicians living in Greater Manchester, aged 18 to 25 years, who would like to take more risks with their music making. Aimed at musicians who want to grow creatively, your musical idea will be developed over a period of 8 weeks, with support from mjf, including 1-1 meetings, pairing you with an artist mentor, introducing you to inspiring industry professionals and encouraging you to meet other musicians.

mjf hothouse is for Northern-based musicians of all ages, already working in improvisation and jazz who are ready to be creatively pushed to the next stage, through a 6 month programme allowing them to learn, experiment and create new work.

Applications for both opportunities close on 24th August. Check out the links below to find out more and apply now!
