Manchester International Festival launch MIF Sounds to offer funding for Manchester musicians

Manchester International Festival have unveiled a new funding initiative aimed at helping the city's musicians develop their projects. MIF Sounds will offer grants of up to £1,000 for 10 creatives, ranging from musicians, DJs and producers to promoters, label owners and managers.

All you need to do is send over a proposal/pitch of up to 500 words, or alternatively send in a video of up to 2 minutes. Full details of what to include in your pitch can be found via the link below. Applications close on Friday 2nd October.

MIF are also running their other initiative to support local artists 'Festival in my House', which has been adapted for lockdown to 'Festival in my House...and Yours'. They are looking for 6 Greater Manchester based artists of any genre to develop projects for this. Again, you will find all the details you need via the link below.
