FOCUS Wales announce music industry professionals for digital event Out of FOCUS

International showcase festival FOCUS Wales, winner of Best Festival for Emerging Talent at the UK Festival Awards, and recently shortlisted for a European Festival Award, have programmed a brand new digital showcase and conference event set for 21st – 26th September 2020, for the inaugural Out of FOCUS Digital Conference.
In the first of a series of online events (with more to be announced in the coming months), the virtual showcase event will feature panel talks, and keynote sessions, with industry professionals and special guests. Alongside this, the series will offer artists from Wales the opportunity to showcase their music to, and network with, representatives of the global music industry, and also offering access to support to help with their careers amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eurythmics co-founder, award winning singer, songwriter, musician, author, photographer, Dave Stewart. Amongst his many accolades Stewart co-wrote and produced every Eurythmics album in the world-famous duo with Annie Lennox. He has also produced albums and co-written songs with Mick Jagger, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan and Gwen Stefani, among many others. Dave has recently started working with upcoming Welsh artist Otto, who will be in conversation with Dave as part of Out of FOCUS.
Other speakers announced include: Henca Maduro (New Skool Rules), Rachel Almeida (Crack Magazine), Aly Gillani (Bandcamp), Alex Petropoulos (Songlines), Achal Dhillon (Killing Moon), Anika Mottershaw (Bella Union), Bev Burton (Black Deer Festival), Rob McGee (Empire Agency), Beverly Whitrick (Music Venues Trust), plus representatives from Arts Council of Wales, Help Musicians, Musicians Union, Wales Arts International, British Council, PRSF, and Creative Wales.
