Almost half of UK recording studios could go out of business following Covid-19 outbreak

New research from the Music Producers Guild have revealed that 48% of recording studios may not survive Coronavirus shut down, and this will also extend to producers and engineers who rent recording space, of whom 73% are expected not to be able to continue work without the government stepping in to offer support.

The Music Producers Guild is calling for business rates relief and grants to be extended to studios, who have, until now, fallen between the gaps of government support.
