HMV to open up stores to unsigned acts

Good news... as HMV's new owner Doug Putnam wants the music retail chain to have a much stronger affinity with unsigned and emerging bands and artists going forwards.

As well as a website relaunch, vinyl expansion plans, HMV also aim to increase in-store performances, involving emerging acts. They also plan to have a more open door policy on accepting and stocking releases by local unsigned acts.
