Eden Festival launches Battle of the Bands to find under 18s unsigned act to play on the main stage

Eden Festival are on the search for the best youth band in Dumfries and Galloway. Could it be you?

The grand prize is a main stage slot at Eden Festival between the 7-10th of June. The lucky winner will also receive free festival weekend passes, plus your school will win a £200 donation for the music department and a sponsored sports strip for your chosen school team. Last years winners were the band, Back From Nowhere from Dalbeattie High School.

Open to all music genres and styles, the band can perform their own material or covers. You just need to be 18 years old or under to apply.

To enter Eden Festival’s Battle of the Bands email [email protected] for an application pack. Registered bands will be invited to an audition and 6 acts will be invited to perform for a grand final in May in front of a live audience and a panel of esteemed judges, all to be revealed shortly. The winners will be decided on the night.

Scotland’s most eclectic festival will be celebrating its 10  year anniversary in style this summer with highlights from the last decade along with new additions to the Garden. Eden Festival will be returning to the Raehill Meadows in Dumfries and Galloway on June 7 -10th, hosting 12 different stages with over 300 performers. Headliners include Groove Armada DJ set, Submotion Orchestra and DJ Super Hans. A long established favourite on the Scottish festival calendar, the 10 year anniversary promises to be a highlight of the summer with a celebration worthy of its national acclaim.
