News: 1st November 2017 by Louise Dodgson under Music Training & Careers

Now in its 8th successive year, The Ultimate Seminar is set to return to London’s Little Titchfield Street on Saturday 18 November 2017. Endorsed and attended by many well-known names from Island Records President Darcus Beese to UK grime artist Stormzy, the seminar will bring over 40 leading music industry figures together under one roof to inspire and educate the next generation of musicians, singers, songwriters and business execs.

Organised by Cre8ing Vision in association with the University of Westminster, the Ultimate Seminar’s all-day programme will consist of seven panels and a ‘Be Inspired’ conversation with music manager Ben Mawson (TAP Management – Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa).

Other speakers lined up for the 2017 edition include Caroline Simionescu-Marin (A&R Manager, XL Recordings), Stacey Tang (General Manager, Columbia Records UK), Serene Sass (VP International Licensee Business, Warner Music UK), Jammer (BBK), Rachel Campbell (Founder, Wired PR – Stormzy, Jorja Smith, Dizzee Rascal), MiC LOWRY, Rich Castillo (Senior A&R Manager, Polydor), and Tiana Major9. More label figureheads, A&Rs, music publishers, artist managers, artists and songwriters will be announced in due course.

The free, one day event offers attendees unparalleled access to established music professionals, who will discuss how to get into the music industry and what it takes to succeed at the highest level. As well as learning valuable music business skills, attendees will be given the opportunity to participate in music masterclasses, pose questions to panelists and attend speed networking sessions; encouraging individuals to set personal goals and realise their own objectives and ambitions. In addition to Darcus Beese and Stormzy, previous speakers have included Capitol Records’ Jo Charrington and Nick Raphael, Tinie Tempah, JP Cooper and Laura Mvula.
