BBC Radio 1 Academy heads to Hull with free sessions for 16-19 year olds

BBC Radio 1 and BBC Learning have announced plans for BBC Radio 1’s Academy - a programme of exciting outreach activity in the run up to BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend Hull 2017 that aims to inspire local 16-19 year-olds to take the next step in creative careers.

Radio 1’s Academy will include a series of special events, local engagement and face-to-face activity and will kick off its residency in Hull on 10-11 February when Matt Edmondson and Alice Levine will broadcast live from the city, offering local young people a chance to get involved.
