Albums sold at gigs to count towards UK music charts

Thanks to the introduction of Lightning Live, a new method of collecting stats on album sales at gigs, the UK charts will now be able to take into account music sold on the merch stands across the country. Great news indeed as many a fan (myself included!) has been known to part with their hard-earned cash when buoyed up from a fantastic gig and after a few drinks, and these additional sales could make a significant contribution to some bands & artists chart position.
