BBC to launch music streaming service

News: 8th September 2015 by Louise Dodgson under Media, Record Labels, Selling & Distributing Your Music

Many music streaming services have formed this year, primarily Apple Music and Tidal, however it appears another may be on the horizon...created by the BBC. Building on the popularity of their Playlister facility, the plans have been outlined in a recent report to launch a 'New Music Discovery Service', making the 50,000 tracks broadcast each month by the BBC available for a limited time to stream.

Tracks would also include exclusive live performances recorded for the BBC, making the whole idea a very attractive prospect for music fans. There is no definite date on the table for when we can expect the BBC's music streaming offering but let's hope more details unfold in the near future...
