BASCA launch campaign to demand fairer share of royalties for songwriters

BASCA (British Academy of Songwriters, Composers & Authors) have unveiled a campaign entitled 'The Day The Music Died' which they hope will raise awareness of the contribution of music writers, composers and songwriters to the UK music industry and rally for a fairer share of digital royalties for them. Concerned that many songwriters are not rewarded enough for a decent living wage from sources of digital music consumption, let's hope BASCA can make some changes. More details below...
