Bandcamp pilots artist subscription option for fans

News: 21st October 2014 by Louise Dodgson under Artist Managers, Record Labels, Selling & Distributing Your Music

Last week Bandcamp teamed up with Oxford duo Candy Says who are the first band to allow fans to subscribe to them via Bandcamp for £20 per year. Keen to distinguish that this is not the likes of a Pledge Music or Kickstarter campaign where fans pledge money to help get a project, release or similar off the ground, the Bandcamp artist subscription will allow fans to receive all of the artist's releases as well as exclusive material for subscribers only.

So in simple terms you pay £20 per year to subscribe to a band or artist you really love and you'll be sent everything they release, whilst providing artists which a more reliable cash flow so they can keep on releasing new material. Sounds like a winner to us! Read more about it below...
