Music Venue Trust jumps into action over noise abatement

News: 29th May 2014 by Louise Dodgson under Live

Recently, popular gig venues the Night & Day in Manchester and The Blind Tiger Club in Brighton, have faced the threat over closure following complaints by new residents about the noise. Obviously, these instances aren't the first occasions that live music venues have fallen prey to whinging neighbours and we're pleased to hear that the Music Venue Trust has stepped up to launch a petition requesting that Secretary of State for the Environment further review the legislation surrounding noise abatement.

Please get involved and sign the petition below on the Music Venue Trust website who quite rightfully say: "We believe this is a common sense approach - if you hate sport, why move next to a football pitch? If you hate music, why move next to a live music venue?" Hear, hear!
