Writing the perfect pop song

Crafting a great song that will stand the test of time is no mean feat! We stumbled upon a couple of articles that take an interesting look at how a good pop song is put together. Thie first article uses music theory to dissect and explain the workings of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. The second article focuses on the Swedish hit makers that we're hearing more and more of late and why as a nation they're so skilled at crafting a memorable hit single. Some nice Friday afternoon reading to get stuck into with a cuppa!
