Spotify unveils merch sales as Dr Dre's Beats launches

As Dr Dre's new music streaming project Beats launches in the US and hits the headlines, Spotify hope to claim back some of the limelight by announcing they will be offering no fee merchandise sales to all artists via Topspin. The merchandise will be listed in the Spotify player and as the music streaming giant will not be taking a cut, it may help improve previously shaky relationships between them and record labels and artists who have been critical of the streaming revenues they're paid.
