Illegal downloading is fine...says half of EU

The music and film industries have suffered at the hands of piracy and much has been done in recent years to kerb this behaviour. A survey carried out by the EU has revealed some contradictory opinions with 96% of people agreeing that the intellectual property of creators should be protected, but then 42% feel it is ok to illegally download films and music. Hmmmm.

Also, a little less surprisingly, this figure rises to 57% amongst those surveyed aged between 15 and 24 years, making illegal downloading content a common and acceptable trend of music consumption amongst the younger generation. Read more about the results from the survey via the link below...
