The reality of streaming music royalties

The debate over payments to artists by the likes of Spotify continues, and this time cellist Zoe Keating has got involved by sharing her royalty statement via Google Docs to demonstrate what you can actually expect to be paid by music streaming services. Her earnings for the first half of 2013 for 201,412 Spotify streams amounted to $808 which equates to $0.004, so not really enough to pay the bills!
