Are artist streaming subscriptions the future?

News: 25th June 2013 by Louise Dodgson under Artist Managers, Record Labels, Selling & Distributing Your Music

Things move fast in the age of digital music and the latest topic of discussion is that of artist streaming subscriptions, effectively that bands and artists you follow on streaming services such as Spotify offer you a more exclusive experience as a fan, so perhaps access to their back catalogue, 'making-of' album content, lyrics, streams of live gigs and videos, backstage footage and all sorts of other perks.

It does sound an enticing and interesting idea and likely something to prove popular with fans. Obviously at this stage, it's still a potential concept that requires further work but it's certainly a thought-provoking topic. Read more about it via the link below. And why not leave us your comments...would you subscribe to your favourite band via a streaming service to receive these kind of features?
