City Showcase host another free songwriting session

News: 12th June 2013 by Louise Dodgson under Music Publishing, Music Training & Careers

Following last month's music industry workshop at London's Apple Store hosted by City Showcase, another event is in the pipeline for 25th June. Another amazing line up of panellists will be there to offer advice to aspiring musicians including Ross Gautreau of Karma Artists, Tim Fraser, who has written songs for the likes of Tina Turner, and award winning songwriter Eliot Kennedy who has worked with everyone from Take That, Aretha Franklin and Mary J. Blige.

This session will be on: Writing – construction of a song: breaking down a song into its constituent parts and analysing what makes a good song and what makes a ‘hit’ song.  How to write for and pitch to a successful chart band will also be touched upon.

If you'd like to perform at the event, get in touch with City Showcase as soon as possible, and as normal, priority goes to City Showcase members. For those not performing come along for free to soak up the good music and expert advice on offer. Further City Showcase sessions are also planned for 3rd September and 23rd October.
