Music industry for musicians too, says Dan Le Sac

News: 30th May 2013 by Louise Dodgson under Artist Managers, Creative & Branding, Finance, Law & Music Business, Live, Media, Music Publishing, Music Training & Careers, Record Labels, Recording & Production, Selling & Distributing Your Music

Following the 3 day music industry extravaganza that is The Great Escape, we came across this blog written by Dan Le Sac, a regular attendee at the event. What makes this blog really interesting is it broaches the invisible but nonetheless existent divide between the music industry and the musicians themselves. But for once, rather than assuming that the music business is out of touch, Dan brings to task the musicians who aren't taking full advantage of the opportunities an event like The Great Escape can provide to learn about the industry and make useful contacts. As he puts it "...the more an artist knows about this industry, the better equipped they will be to survive in it." We couldn't agree more! Click the link below and see what Dan has to say!
