Arts Council England will be passing on a government grant of £500,000 for a talent development scheme designed to assist in supporting UK musical talent. The money will be administered and distributed as a small grant scheme by an appointed body.
Alan Davey, Chief Executive of Arts Council England, said: “Through this fund, we hope that we can remove some of the financial barriers that prevent artists in the contemporary popular music sector from progressing and reaching their full potential."
