With changes in music consumption, the single has gradually become far more prominent than the album. Only last month, album sales reached a new low when the LP crowned Number 1 didn't even manage to reach 10,000 sales. The BBC's Colin Paterson went out to gather first hand opinions on the future of the LP...and who better to ask than those who attended the Mercury Music Prize nominations earlier this week.
