AIM announces launch of 'The AIM Social'

News: 6th September 2012 by Louise Dodgson under Finance, Law & Music Business, Record Labels

Launch event: Bella Union Meets Ninja Tune – 27th September 2012, East Village, London

AIM is launching ‘The AIM Social’, a new monthly gathering for the independent music community.

Taking place in East Village in Shoreditch, each AIM Social will be hosted by two contrasting independent labels.  The first event, Bella Union Meets Ninja Tune will take place on 27th September 2012.

Each social will see label bosses, their staff and artists taking to the decks, giving a unique insight into the music that has inspired and shaped their labels, and providing a unique backdrop to networking and general camaraderie.

Bella Union Meets Ninja Tune will see DJ sets from Ninja Tune MD Peter Quicke and artist Jon More (Coldcut), and from Bella Union’s founder Simon Raymonde and signing I Break Horses.

Peter Quicke, MD of Ninja Tune, says: “Ninjas are excited to be part of this first AIM Social with this most devastatingly friendly face-off with Bella Union…”

A further two AIM Socials will take place at East Village before the end of 2012, with hosting labels to be announced soon.

The guestlist has been open to AIM members only for two weeks, but AIM is now opening up the remaining places to the wider music industry. Register quick before they’re all gone!

Sign up to the guestlist via the link below.

Entrance is free, but a strict guestlist will be in operation on the night, so everyone wishing to attend should be sure to register in advance.
