UK festivals feel the bite

Sadly many UK festivals seem to be following the fate of Sonisphere this year and having to pull the plug on their 2012 events. The latest festivals to be cancelled include Cloud 9 Festival, Rough Beats and Golden Down. And whilst the recession could be partly to blame towards poor ticket sales, there has also been previous discussion at music industry convention Live UK: The Summit that the festival market is at saturation point.
