Cut out the music middleman

Currently raising funds through Kickstarter is music start-up Distro.fm, the latest platform to emerge across the waters in the US. The difference with Distro.fm is it removes record labels, PR, distributors and other industry middle men from the equation, allowing fans to directly subscribe to bands and musicians they like. The beauty of this arrangement is a direct line for fans to artists and all their work, with the bonus for artists being 100% of money generated from sales is theirs to keep.
