Universal and Sony lurk in the wings of EMI sale

With Universal and Sony waiting in the wings to split up the carcass of EMI between them, the likes of AIM (Association of Independent Music) and IMPALA (Independent Music Companies Association) are rallying the music business troops to oppose this.

Helen Smith, Executive Chair of IMPALA, commented: “Neither the USA nor Europe wants to see the music sector become a two-horse race, devoid of competition from any other companies.”

AIM are encouraging their members to forward a letter campaigning against the break-up and sale of EMI, which can also be viewed via the link below.
