News: 2nd August 2011 by Louise Dodgson under Artist Managers, Finance, Law & Music Business, Live, Music Publishing, Record Labels, Selling & Distributing Your Music

US organisation, The Future of Music Coalition has begun embarking on a survey which is set to compare the revenue streams where musician's income has been generated from over the past 10 years which 'aims to assess and quantify all the ways an artist can make money'. Although a well educated guess could be made as to the results, the research findings will ultimately assist organisations such as FOMC to lobby for musicians' rights and influence public policy.
