Make the most of social networking with Inner Ear
News: 14th June 2011 by Louise Dodgson under Media, Music Training & Careers
Creative content communications company Inner Ear, the people behind the UK's longest running independent internet radio station, Radio Magnetic, are running a series of social media workshops in June in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London.
Devised especially for people working in the creative industries, and particularly relevant to everyone working in the business of music, the four sessions are:
• Digital Audience Development (how to find and build a relationship with your audience for promoting events, selling tickets, music and merchandise)
• Build Your Own Portfolio Website In Wordpress (a step-by-step guide to making your own site using the powerful open source content management system Wordpress, including social media links and embedding audio, video and interactive widgets)
• Social Media Campaign Planning (how to devise and run a marketing campaign using social networks and platforms)
• Social Media Scheduling for Better Business Development (make the most of social communications to raise your profile, learn from your audience and build your reputation)
Established in 2000, Inner Ear launched Radio Magnetic in March 2001 learning about content creation, streaming, podcasting and internet marketing from the ground up. Since then they have created content and devised strategic campaigns for clients such as Tennent's Lager, Brahma Beer, Smirnoff, Line 6, Channel 4, Glasgow Jazz Festival, T in the Park and many more.
Music is very close to the company's heart. In 2010 they curated a music industry conference in Glasgow called Music Business Innovation. Inner Ear director Dougal Perman is also on the board of the Scottish Music Industry Association.
Tickets for the workshops are priced at £90 (including VAT) but members of the The Unsigned Guide network can take advantage of the discounted price of just £66 (including VAT) by using the code UNSIGNED when buying tickets.
If you would like more information on these workshops, or to find out more about Inner Ear's content creation, communication, campaign planning and consultancy services, please contact Dougal Perman ([email protected]) or Anny Deery ([email protected]).
