Boardwalk Busking to unearth new talent

Boardwalk Busking is set to unveil the best local emerging act at Lakeside Shopping Centre. As well as fantastic exposure for the acts, there are some incredible prizes up for grabs for the winning musician or group, as well as two runners up.
The Winning Prize includes:
• Recording studio session: 1 full day in a top recording studio, with a CD recording to take home at the end of the experience. A number of successful acts have previously recorded in this studio including Lily Allen, The Kooks and Adele.
• Full styling session: spend time with Lakeside's Personal Shopper, who can style the acts to help make their winner’s performance really memorable
• £500 Lakeside Gift Card: £500 to spend at Lakeside. The card can be used in over 250 stores and to redeem goods during the styling session if they would like.
• The track as a download: the winning track will be available from the HEART Essex and Lakeside website
• Gold disc: Their very own exclusive Gold Disc Trophy to take home.
In order to enter musicians and acts need to send their a video or MP3 by 13th June 2011 to [email protected] or they can post their entries to Boardwalk Busking - Lakeside Centre Management, Lakeside Shopping Centre, West Thurrock, Grays, Essex, RM20 2ZP. Acts should include some information about themselves and their band, as well as three photos as part of their entry and our judges will select their favourite 12 to go to a public vote, battling it out to be the first Boardwalk Busker.
The remaining four acts will get one more chance to impress by performing live on The Boardwalk at Lakeside to battle it out to become Lakeside's Boardwalk Busker 2011! Take a look at the website below for more information and check Lakeside's Facebook and Twitter pages for competition updates.
