Zimbalam enters digital distribution price war

News: 26th May 2011 by Louise Dodgson under Selling & Distributing Your Music

Zimbalam, the digital music distribution company, is offering independent artists & labels in the UK a significant discount on distribution fees in response to the news that Tunecore has decided to increase its charges by over 150%.

Tunecore, announced last week that it was increasing its ‘renewal fees’ from $19.99 to $49.99 sparking an angry response from its users on numerous messageboards and forums.

In response, Zimbalam have decided to offer a £5 discount on all album upload fees until August 30th, which means that it will cost just £24.99 to sell your music in the major global download stores, while keeping 100% of your royalties and rights.

*Free UPC & ISRC codes
*Streaming music player, embeddable in Facebook, Myspace and any other website
*Daily sales reporting and analytics
*Build & engage your fanbase by giving away a free track in exchange for an email address,
*With your own artist page, you can sell and steam direct to fans with your music player, news, gigs details, mailing list signup, links to your Facebook & Twitter pages
*Fan Connect  - manage your mailing list, send professional newsletters and see who opened them

We cover the major stores, in all countries, and give artists and labels access to 95% or more of the market in their local territory, for all genres of music. While our competitors are increasing their prices by over 150% we are fully committed to helping nurture and develop new talent and will do everything in our means to make sure emerging artists and labels have access to a world class music distribution network.”
