Independent record stores set to outlive larger chains

With Zavvi and Borders a distant memory, and HMV in financial difficulty, you'd be forgiven for thinking it's all doom & gloom for independent record stores. But you'd be wrong! Surprisingly, a number of new independent shops have opened in the past year demonstrating that the physical browsing and purchase of music is not a thing of the past. Following another successful Record Store Day last Saturday, let's hope that this is a trend set to continue...
