Back in 1981 Tommy Silverman set up a record company which evolved into one of America's best known labels working with artists including De La Soul, House Of Pain, Queen Latifah, Naughty By Nature, and Sneaker Pimps. The label went from being fully independent to being fully bought out by Warner Records in 1990, then followed the journey back to independence when Silverman bought the label back from the major in 2002. He has since founded music industry event, New Music Seminar and in his interview below he discusses how the music industry has changed and what the future holds...
