HMV hits hard times

HMV hits hard times

After a hard period of Christmas sales which were down 10%, HMV has been forced to take action if it does not wish to suffer another nail in the coffin. The music and books retail chain has announced it will be closing 60 stores during the course of 2011. Certainly the snowy weather conditions the UK experienced in December will not have helped HMV's sales figures at this time, however HMV has been struggling for a while now and is reportedly having difficulty adhering to the terms of a bank loan. Let's hope they can turn matters around in 2011.
