Plug is pulled on Limewire P2P

Yesterday, Limewire had to bite the bullet and pull the plug on the filesharing service which will make the recording industry very happy, and the RIAA in particular who have been waiting since 2006 for this decision to be reached. A further court hearing in the new year will decide the damages owed by Limewire. Remaining positive, Limewire insist that they hope to work alongside the music industry to develop their legitimate subscription service.
