Wannabe Mayor of London proposes SXSW in capital

Perhaps this announcement is just to entice the good London folk to re-elect him as mayor, but Ken Livingstone has said that he hopes to host a music event on the scale of Texas' SXSW in the UK capital.
Imaginatively titled London Music Festival, he hopes to showcase established and emerging acts at the festivities. Although, the city already has similar events such as Camden Crawl and City Showcase, it seems the event he has planned will be on a far grander scale, encompassing hundreds of venues across the city.
Election ploy or not, we're all for a new music gathering so let's see what happens...
