Downloads to be sold via radio

News: 12th August 2010 by Louise Dodgson under Media, Selling & Distributing Your Music

Pure, 7digital and Shazam have teamed up to introduce a service called Flowsongs allowing tracks to be downloaded via 5 radio models, with more models on the way. Radio manufaturers, Pure, have joined forces with Shazam to create a built-in system to identify tracks being played on-air. When you decide to buy a track as you listen, this will be done through the 7digital platform following 7digital's standard pricing.

It will be interesting to see whether this new format for music sales will take off. Stay tuned!
