News: 10th August 2010 by Louise Dodgson under Finance, Law & Music Business

The Music Development Association (MDA) has published the first in a series of campaign papers penned by its membership, with the first being an inspired discussion from Jim Mawdsley regarding music development in the UK. Jim Mawdsley has worked for North East music development agency Generator for many years now, and was recently appointed as part of UK Music's Leadership Development Network.

The aim of the paper is to raise the visibility and sector awareness of important issues affecting music business growth and sustainability. Take a look at the links below to have a read of the paper.

There are also papers in the pipeline covering areas such as:

- International events / conventions – collective logistics and economies of scale
- Bulk Visa arrangements and finance for conventions / trade ventures
- Local / Independent Radio Support
