Bandcamp move to paid subscription

News: 16th July 2010 by Louise Dodgson under Artist Managers

Bandcamp has been providing bands and artists with useful services for a few years now; allowing them to interact with their fans, whilst gathering valuable stats about which tracks they prefer and the like. So far these services have been available for free, but from August Bandcamp will be charging 15% per transaction, which will reduce once a band exceeds a certain amount of sales. This switch will mean Bandcamp have more resources to introduce new features and develop existing ones for everyone's benefit.
