Spotify opens doors to new users

Although they will not be ditching their invitation service, Spotify have decided to welcome more new users to the fold by launching Spotify Open which allows folks that are completely new to the service to sign up to a free subscription. There is one tiny drawback in the fact that new users will have their listening hours limited to 20 hours per month, but heck, Spotify have to draw the line somewhere I guess!

As the music library on the streaming service continues to grow I'm sure they will have no problems signing up new listeners in their droves...let's hope they can convert them to paying customers.
