Keep your instruments and equipment protected with Allianz Musical Insurance

Blog by Stef Loukes under Finance, Law & Music Business, Live, Music Training & Careers, Recording & Production

As new rules and restrictions continue across the UK, Allianz Musical Insurance are committed to supporting musicians during this time.

Although performances can now take place indoors and outdoors for professional and non-professional musicians, and teachers are getting back to face-to-face lessons, there’s still lots of restrictions in place. We know that many musicians are continuing to practice, teach, record and produce at home.

Whether you’re starting to get out the house with your instrument for performances or rehearsals, or staying at home to practice or record, it’s still important to keep your instruments and equipment protected. We know that all musicians have different needs, which is why our policies are flexible.

Accidental damage, theft and loss cover
No matter how careful you are with your instruments and equipment, accidents are unavoidable – and nobody can help being the target of theft. Whether you’re back out performing or using your instrument at home, if the worst happens, we’ll be there to help you get back to playing.

Cover outside your home
If you’re able to head out to a performance or even leave the house to go to a socially distanced rehearsal, we’ve got you covered. Choose our UK cover to be protected against loss, theft, accidental damage and more while you’re on the move outside your home.

Never be without an instrument
We know that for many musicians, being without an instrument for any length of time simply isn’t an option. With our loan hire cover, you’ll always have something to play if your own instrument is lost or damaged.

Choose your own repairer and replacement

We understand that you won’t want to hand over your instrument to just anyone. That’s why we let you lead the repair process if your instrument gets damaged, so you'll know it's in safe hands. And if the worst happens and you need to find a replacement, we let you pick one that fits your needs.

Make as many changes as you need
We're flexible with our policies and you can make as many changes to your policy as you need, free of charge. You could opt for Premises Only or UK cover at the moment then change your levels of cover in the future when you need it. Find out more here.
