Quite Great launch band touring services

Blog by Louise Dodgson under Live

Virtually every band & artist we talk to always seem (quite rightly!) to be to on the hunt for new promoters, festivals and other gigging opportunities. So, in a bid to develop and professionalise how bands hook up with promoters & venues, in August Quite Great will be announcing the launch of Quite Great Touring Services.

Quite Great Head honcho Pete Bassett explains, "The reason for this is simple, and revolves around two aspects of timing. We have always been waiting for the right person to work with. Someone who has over two decades of experience in all aspects of live performance. From operating live music venues, festival organisation, right through to day-to-day knowledge of all the different ways venues, promoters, musicians and booking agents interact to arrange tours for artists. Now we have an agreement with that guy."

Secondly, timing in terms of recognising how the industry has changed and current artist requirements where marketing new and emerging talent is concerned. Pete continues, ‘It is clear that musicians and those involved in helping to guide the careers of music creators are increasingly looking for an independent version of the major label business model - known as the 360 model.

What Quite Great strive for is an alternative which offers flexibility – "A supporting arm round the shoulder rather than a strangle-hold around the neck’ which from Quite Great’s experience is how deals with majors can end up being.

This is only natural as the major labels are investing the money", adds Pete, "hence why the timing is now right to develop the touring side of Quite Great. We’re an all-encompassing company offering indie label services & unsigned artist label services. Quite Great have experts in-house who are fundamental in the creative and business processes for musicians and breakthrough artists, from production right through to design and now touring services."

Quite Great ensure everything revolves around the marketing of the act. Their team builds our artists’ exposure online, in print and broadcast to concentrate the media focus on our musicians so they can build and develop the fanbase which in turn helps expand live & touring opportunities.
