Be part of Roundhouse Rising Digital Futures this February

Now in its fifth year, the Roundhouse’s annual festival of emerging music Roundhouse Rising returns with another exciting line-up of live music plus industry masterclasses, panels, workshops and creative projects from Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd February.

Rising 2015 will see the Roundhouse team up with BBC Introducing, DIY Magazine, Coda and 13 Artists, bringing you some of their hottest music picks for the New Year.

Live music highlights include Welsh indie rockers Pretty Vicious, boundary-breaking FTSE, energetic noise-rock Dubliners Girl Band, electronica pioneer Tim Exile, experimental sounds from Gwilym Gold, plus beatboxing from the incredible Shlomo and walking soundsystem Reeps One.

Roundhouse Rising aims to support the next generation of artists and industry leaders by offering advice and insight into the music business.

On Saturday 21st February, Rising Digital Futures will offer a ground-breaking day of discussion, demos and debate about the future of music in the digital age. Covering everything from digital releasing, to new technologies, the day will give fresh insight into how aspiring musicians and industry professionals can develop their music, creativity and career.

Here’s what’s in store throughout the day…

- Join the debate at our Future of Digital Music Panel – An interactive discussion panel looking at digital innovation in music past and present, from Kraftwerk to FKA Twigs and beyond. Chaired by sound artist Gawain Hewitt, the event will also feature acclaimed beatboxer Shlomo and electronica pioneer Tim Exile.

- Get expert advice how to promote your music in the digital era at our Digital marketing workshop with Put Me On It’s Amelia Ideh.

- Join audio maverick Tim Exile on a digital adventure of technology, innovation and experimentation at an exclusive demo and witness a special interactive demonstration from beatboxer extraordinaire Shlomo.

- Complete Music Update’s Chris Cooke will be answering all your questions at CMU Digital Edition, exploring the music industry in the digital era.

Plus lots more activities going on throughout the day. Find out more and book your tickets here.
