A very busy week in the music world draws to a close! Our summary of the music news you need to know about is below including the surprising results from a recent survey about music consumption, as well as news that music streaming is on the up; overtaking downloading. Could things be looking up for the music industry?

There is also an interesting interview in there from Chris Anderson, author of 'The Long Tail' who shares his opinions on the state of the music business. Definitely worth a read!
