Gig of the fortnight: Cavort With Your Heart Launch Party, Ruby Lounge, Thursday 17th December
 It being very nearly Christmas, it’s time to take full advantage of your last few days of freedom before festive family commitments mean plenty of enforced nights in and a musical diet of consisting almost exclusively of carols and Slade.
Cavort With our Heart is a brand new night of indie disco and new bands at the ever popular Ruby Lounge. Lined up to gig the debut are rousing popsters Tigers That Talked and local lads Disco Nasties
Tigers That Talked have been quietly plugging away for a while now and they’re really starting to get themselves noticed. Having released a number of self-produced DIY EPs, available to fans at gigs and through their MySpace, they’re now set to release first album release on Bad Sneakers. Watch and learn…
Following the bands, the C.W.Y.H DJs will be taking to the decks. The club night blurb promises that punters will be picking all the tunes they play, so make sure you’ve got your request list at the ready.
Being as this is the first ever Cavort With Your Heart, we can’t guarantee its quality, of course. But consider it like that mystery present under the tree with the very promising wrapping paper – we suggest you give it a good experimental shake and hope something good comes out of it (with two cracking bands like this on the bill, we’re pretty sure it will).
