Have you found the Manchester music scene supportive?
You can make the Manchester music scene what you want. We tend to hang around and gig-share with our mates and contemporaries which makes us feel like we have our own little collective within the larger scene. There is always support where you need it that way- spending time with your mates and getting to play some quality shows is what it's all about.
What’s your top tip for bands trying to make in this city and beyond?
Do it your way. Never pay to play. Know who your mates are and stick together. Think about what gigs you accept - you don't have to play everywhere all at once; sometimes it's better to do one Manchester gig every now and again and get a buzz going.
If you're a new band, don't start gigging in town until you're really happy with your tunes and feel like you've got something that'll really impress people.
It can be hard to get people to gigs sometimes, so make sure they're blown away when they see you.
What’s next for you?
We've just released our debut album 'Sixteen Holes in Sixteen Souls' which is on Itunes and in Piccadilly Records now.
In the new year we'll be busy touring the hell out of it and getting around to as many people as we possibly can- hopefully involving another trip to Georgia to see our fans over there.
We’re also polishing off the songs for our brand new concept EP which we expecting to have ready in Feb/March 2010. It's a real shift in our sound and will prove to people that we are maturing and trying to do something powerful...Believe me, it's huge. Watch this space...
